B-PROJECT

As part of the Bosch 500 Foundation’s major celebration of the visionary painter and work, the Bosch Cities Network was formed in 2010 to promote international co-productions between performing arts organisations in the Bosch Cities. The first project that emerged from this international network is B Project, an artist-development initiative which invites European choreographers to research and create new dances inspired by Bosch.

The aim of B Project is to connect dance organisations and dance makers to museums and the work of Jheronimus Bosch in five of the European cities where the paintings of Jheronimus Bosch are held, the so called Bosch Cities.

B Project has selected five young and talented choreographers to research and create new works inspired by the universe of Bosch. The choreographers follow a series of residencies in each of the five cities, meeting with researchers and experts. The five small-scale works premiere at the end of March 2014, as part of Cement Festival in Hertogebosch, Bosch’s native town and tour subsequently in some of the partners’ countries.
